Shifts
New Dawn AFC Home is a 24/7 Facility.
Morning: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Evening: 4:00 pm -12:00 am
Midnight: 12:00 am - 8:00 am
Floating Schedule for Weekends and Midnight Shift

Role Description
This is for 3 Full-time and 1 Floating position on-site role as a Direct Care Worker at New Dawn AFC Home, LLC in Detroit, MI. As a Direct Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Your day-to-day tasks may include assisting with personal care, administering medication, accompanying individuals to appointments, meal preparation, and facilitating social activities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
1 year previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to follow instructions and protocols

Compassionate and patient demeanor
-
Must pass a background check
-
CPR & First Aid Certifications

Rate of Pay up to $14.00 per hour

To comply with certification Rule 330.1806(2)(3)(4) direct care staff providing resident care must be trained using either the approved curriculum, "Providing Residential Services in Community Settings: A Training Guide" or an approved alternative curriculum.The
